Boulder Dharma Weekends
The monthly Dharma Weekends have become a stable part of the Boulder Zen Center programs. They combine four elements that can be attended separately or together:
- Dharma Talk (Saturdays, 9 am-12 pm). After one period of Zazen, Zenki Roshi will give the regularly scheduled Saturday Dharma Talk. There will be a break, followed by an optional question and answer session.
- Everyday Zen Dialogue (Saturdays, 2-4 pm, open to anyone). Each month, a member of the group “hosts” the dialogue by presenting a practice topic that is alive in their practice. After an opening circle, in which each person responds to the topic, we engage in open conversation, then close with another circle.
- Extended Zazen and Dokusan (Sundays, 9 am-12:10 pm). There will be four periods of Zazen, interspersed with Kinhin, beginning at 9 am. Dokusan (personal interview with Zenki Roshi) will be open to anyone who would like to participate. Practitioners may join one or two Zazen periods, or for all four periods.
- Dharma Circle (Sundays, 2-4 pm). This is a study group for committed practitioners. Click here for the requirements for participation. The Dharma Circle will focus on a practice-oriented exploration of Dogen’s fascicle “Uji – Being-Time.”
Please contact the Boulder Zen Center with any questions you may have regarding the Boulder Dharma Weekends.
