This Seminar is an opportunity for new and experienced students to explore basic teachings and practice instructions of Zen Buddhism. No prior experience with Zen practice is required. However, all participants are encouraged to be prepared to share the questions that are most alive for them at the time.

Seminars led by Zenki Christian Dillo Roshi are an opportunity for new and experienced students to explore teachings of Zen Buddhism together. The topic for each seminar is developed through informal Dharma talks, question and answer, open discussion, and small groups.

Participants in this seminar are invited to stay at the Briar Rose. It is also possible to participate while staying at home, though all are encouraged to attend morning and evening Zazen and meals. BZC can only accommodate a limited number of people, so please register early if you would like to be assured a spot at this seminar.

The seminar will begin with dinner Friday evening at 6:00 p.m., run from early morning Zazen through evening Zazen on Saturday, and early morning Zazen through lunch on Sunday. Participants are encouraged to stay after lunch Sunday for a Sangha meeting at 1:30 p.m. (All are welcome and encouraged to come to the open Sangha meeting, whether or not you attend the seminar.)
