A Weekend Sitting is a two-and-a-half-day day meditation intensive. Arrival is between 4-5 pm, we will have an opening dinner on Thursday at 6 pm, followed by evening meditation. All day Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning will be dedicated to an intensive practice schedule with formal tea in the Zendo and a Dharma Talk by the Teacher. The meals will be eaten oryoki style. The weekend ends with a lunch on Sunday.
If you don’t have an established relationship with the Dharma Sangha, we will contact you to arrange an interview and to clarify further details of your application.
$270 for room and board. It is customary to make an additional teaching donation. (Member Discount: 10-20%)
For those in financial need who could otherwise not attend, we offer a limited number of sliding scale scholarships with a minimum payment of 40%. In case of large participation in the event, scholarship recipients may be asked to sleep in the Zendo.
