A Weekend Sitting is a two-and-a-half-day day meditation intensive. Arrival is between 4-5 pm, we will have an opening dinner on Friday at 6 pm, followed by evening meditation. All day Saturday and Sunday morning will be dedicated to an intensive practice schedule with formal tea in the Zendo and a Dharma Talk by the Teacher. The meals will be eaten oryoki style. The weekend ends with a lunch on Labor Day (Monday).
If you don’t have an established relationship with the Dharma Sangha, we will contact you to arrange an interview and to clarify further details of your application.
$270 for room and board. It is customary to make an additional teaching donation. (Member Discount: 10-20%)
For those in financial need who could otherwise not attend, we offer a limited number of sliding scale scholarships with a minimum payment of 40%. In case of large participation in the event, scholarship recipients may be asked to sleep in the Zendo.
